I am and Orlando-based blogger who creates outfits that combine my love for style with my passion for magic and fantasy. I started this blog as a way to share bits of my life and my enthusiasm for fashion and fandoms, from Disney, to Star Wars, to Harry Potter.

2019 Disneybound Round-Up

It's no secret here that I LOVE a good Disneybound! Putting a Bound together stretches my creativity and gives me a chance to try something new! Whenever I start working on a Bound, I always ask myself; if this character were living here in Orlando, Florida right now, what would they be wearing? How can I translate that concept into my own personal style? I always strive to find pieces that not only work for a particular character Bound, but that I would also wear again outside of just an Instagram photo. Trust me, I used to fill my closet full of items that I would wear just one time, but never had any further use for owning. Now I try to be more selective, which creates an enjoyable challenge for me.

I will sometimes think of it in my head as a game that I play with myself (haha). Try to build the most character appropriate outfit, make sure you can wear the clothes again, and stay under $100 (almost always! There have only been one or two outfits I have EVER spent more than that on and they are usually for special occasions, like Dapper Day!). I often shop at stores like Zara, ASOS, and Amazon for outfits because they cary a wide selection of items and are all reasonably priced. Approximately half of the items you see in my Bounds come from Poshmark or eBay too! I love thrifting clothes from these places because not only is it budget-friendly, but I also find the most unique pieces on there, like my Fairy Godmother dress, which was originally a $500 designer dress that I got for around $40!

2019 was really the year of Disneybounds for me, and I have a feeling 2020 will just be a continuation of that trend! Somehow I created over 40(?!) Disneybounds in the past year!! Even saying that out loud sounds absolutely bonkers to me! I have never felt more freedom in expressing myself and my passions than I do when I am styling a Bound. I am going to share some of my favorite Bounds I wore in 2019 below, this is by no means all of them, but rather a selection of my top-hits, if you will! Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about where items are from or anything else! I would love to answer them!

Also be sure to let me know which of my 2019 Disneybounds is your favorite! (Mine is probably a three- way tie between Toy Story's Jessie, the Haunted Mansion, and the Jack & Sally I did with Taylor ❤︎)
